Het Gastenhuis is further expanding its selection of small-scale care homes with the addition of a location in Bennekom. This elderly care formula focuses on seniors with dementia by providing personal attention and enabling them to retain their independence. The fourteenth home, which will be fully renovated and refurbished, is located on de Pasteurlaan in Bennekom. It is expected to be opened in the course of 2020.
Around 20 new build homes are being constructed on the site of the former Vossenvelde Mavo High School and het Gastenhuis will be completely embedded into this lively and leafy residential area. The location on the north side of Bennekom means both the Ede city centre and het Hoekelumse forest are within easy reach. A permanent team will provide personal care to twenty people with dementia.
Het Gastenhuis, an NPM Capital portfolio company, has rapidly opened a number of small-scale homes for a maximum of 20 residents since its establishment in 2014. It realises these homes in association with real estate partner Amvest. A key aspect of the format is that a care-giving couple lives in each Gastenhuis. Edwin and Caroline Rienstra will manage the location in Bennekom.
