De Boer Structures launches myDeBoer digital document portal | NPM Capital

De Boer Structures has launched the myDeBoer online customer platform. It has been specially designed for the complex projects De Boer carries out for its clients. It ensures that both the client and the employee have fast and secure real-time access to the latest documents from their PC, tablet or mobile phone. The portal’s launch is characteristic of the digitisation occurring in the events sector.

Mydeboer.com is built on the technology of Dropbox Business, the online platform enabling collaboration and file-sharing. ‘This convenient and manageable portal has been created for our clients and employees in association with digital agency Jungle Minds and Dropbox,’ says Onno Koole, Marketing Director at De Boer Structures. ‘We see around us that the industry is changing. People everywhere are looking for ways to structure processes more efficiently through digitisation. Examples include online communication tools and virtual meetings.’

Shared centralised project administration

Large numbers of documents are involved in designing, proposing and constructing De Boer’s temporary space solutions. Examples include floor plans, proposals, schedules and invoices. It is vital to be able to use the latest information anytime and anyplace in order to ensure correct and prompt delivery. De Boer also maintains a uniform project administration itself and access to it can now be provided securely to De Boer employees and clients via the new application.

This means less has to be sent via e-mail and file transfer programmes (ftp) and there is much less risk that documents will be lost and/or that a wrong version will be sent. Jungle Minds conducted multiple user surveys that formed the basis for the ultimate design of De Boer’s own digital project platforms, which was then constructed by Dropbox Business.

Digitisation in the events sector

The project portal being launched is the first of its size in the events sector and is a symbol of the digitisation of this sector. Recent research shows digitisation in the events sector influences the total event management process. Three-quarters of organisations can achieve their objectives by using digital solutions. Organisers’ key objectives are to improve efficiency in terms of time, costs and organisation and to have more satisfied participants.
