NPM participation ICT Group has been selected by Hollandse Delta Water Authority as a strategic partner for the renewal and standardization of the control systems of over 700 hydraulic engineering installations. The programme, which launched in 2019 following a European tender, marks the transition from a fragmented system landscape to a clear and future-proof standard.
The contract includes the development, delivery, and maintenance of a new Operational Technology system for weirs and pumping stations, among other things. “With ICT Group, we have a partner who acts as an extension of our own organization," said programme manager Robert Doetsch. “A partner we can trust and who can translate our needs into concrete solutions.”
With a duration of fifteen years, it is one of the largest operational technology projects in the sector. “With this system, the water authority is better equipped to anticipate changing weather conditions.”
The uniform approach utilizes a central environment and standardized software modules, allowing new installations to be added quickly. Flexibility is also built in: the system can be adapted twice a year to meet new requirements relevant to cybersecurity or climate change, for example. The majority of the project will be completed by the end of 2025, with the management phase set to begin in 2026.
