Bergman Clinics helped 375,000 customers in 2024

NPM participation Bergman Clinics treated 375,000 patients in more than 80 focus clinics during 2024, according to the company's Annual Social Report. The healthcare institution, which offers seven specializations, including orthopedics and eye care, managed to keep the average waiting time for the first consultation to 22 days. Patients rated their care with a mean score of 8.9 out of 10, and a Net Promoter Score of 60.

Despite the pressure on the healthcare system, Bergman Clinics continued to fulfill its mission: providing accessible and affordable specialist medical care, with respect for people, society, and the environment. Collaborations with general practitioners and insurers played a key role. A total of 247,000 referrals were received, 31 clinical studies were participated in, and 63 scientific publications were published.

The organization also made progress in the areas of staff and sustainability. Sick leave decreased to 7.6 percent, nearly 500 vacancies were filled, and more students and healthcare professionals were enrolled in training programs. In terms of sustainability, CO2 emissions were reduced by 3,854 tons and 19,000 kilos of surgical equipment were recycled.

The organization is looking ahead with its plans for further growth and innovation. “On a collective scale, we must continue to organize more intelligently, use resources more efficiently, and keep innovating,“ said CEO Emile van Oorschot. He believes this will demand long-term collaboration with healthcare providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
