Primara Test- und Zertifizier-GmbH in Kaufbeuren, which is near Munich, has become part of the Kiwa Group in Germany. This new subsidiary specialises in testing and certifying industrial products with a focus on renewable energy, electromobility and medical technology. This new expertise within the Kiwa Group will particularly benefit clients in the international energy market and related sectors.
Testing facilities and certification
The acquired company has a testing lab that is accredited by German institute DakkS. The lab carries out environmental simulations and assesses the safety of electrical and electronic equipment. In addition, Primara offers facilities in the IEC CB testing laboratory (for IT and MEAS) and in the IECEx testing laboratory (for explosion protection). The new Kiwa division is authorised to issue the applicable certificates.
Expanded services
The Kaufbeuren location and the locations in Augsburg, Munich and Nuremberg – each with their own areas of specialisation – are complementary to Kiwa’s testing and certification offering in Germany. Through the addition of Primara Test- und Zertifizier-GmbH, the Kiwa Group is further expanding its services to clients worldwide.
