Bergman Clinics strengthens its position in Germany with the acquisition of clinic group Medical One, a platform for plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments with over 10.000 clients annually. Bergman Clinics will acquire the Medical One clinic in Stuttgart, as well as the brands, clients and contracts with eleven intake locations. The services will continue to operate under the Medical One brand name.
Bergman Clinics will introduce its tried-and-tested concept at Medical One. The ultimate goal is to make treatments more agreeable for clients, among other things by reducing waiting times and ensuring there is a pleasant atmosphere in all practices and clinics.
Medical One offers a wide range of cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation, liposuctions and gastric balloons, as well as botox injections and hyaluronic acid treatments. Bergman Clinics intends to continue these operations and expand its range of services in the future through its network of partner clinics.
According to professor Christian Wallwiener, CEO of Bergman Clinics Germany, the acquisition of Medical One is a logical next step in the Bergman Clinics Group portfolio. He expects that Medical One will benefit from Bergman Clinics' 30-year market leadership in the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery in the Netherlands. Ivo Priest, a member of the international board of Bergman Clinics, adds: "This acquisition offered an opportunity to expand our presence in Germany. This fits well with our strategy to further strengthen our position in Northwestern Europe and enables us to create an international platform for highly specialised, plannable medical care. Our ambition is to further grow our activities in Germany in the coming years to improve our care delivery and realise synergies."
Bergman Clinics entered the German market at the end of 2020 with the acquisition of six clinics in Germany from Capio Group. This step followed a prior acquisition in Scandinavia and strengthened the position of Bergman Clinics in Northwestern Europe.
