NPM portfolio company Agro Care Growers has established a Supervisory Board to strengthen its governance structure and support further professionalisation. With this step, the company is responding to its growth and ambitions.
The Supervisory Board provides independent oversight of the management board and advises on strategy, risk management and long-term development. The board consists of Aad Kuiper (Chair, former President & CEO of Hunter Douglas EMEA), Rolf Fouchier (former CEO of E.ON Vertrieb Germany), Theo van Vliet (former Managing Director of CombiVliet), Martien Penning (founding partner of Hillenraad and advisor in agriculture and horticulture) and Rutger Ruigrok, partner and managing director at NPM Capital.
According to CEO Kees van Veen, the composition of the board contributes to the further development of Agro Care. “We are not only focused on growth, but also on strengthening and improving our organisation and our partnerships. This is essential to build a solid foundation for the future,” said Van Veen. The establishment of the board follows a period of growth, including the merger with CombiVliet.
Agro Care is an internationally operating tomato grower with production locations in the Netherlands, France, Tunisia, Morocco, Denmark and Sweden. The company supplies tomatoes to the European market year-round, with a focus on sustainability, quality and taste.
