Investment firm NPM Capital will acquire Büter Group, based in Emmen, from the Büter family. NPM Capital is part of family company SHV and active on the Dutch, Belgian and German markets. It holds a stake in more than 20 companies.

Büter Group was founded in 1965 and is a leader in the European hydraulic industry. The company's inventions enabled new applications for cylinder and lifting technology. The company currently has 550 employees at three locations: Emmen in the Netherlands, and both Haren and Meppen in Germany. Over the past sixty years, Büter Group obtained hundreds of patents and utility models. The transaction is pending approval by the authorities and regulators.

Innovative family company
The company's founder was closely involved with the sale. Erik ten Vergert, CEO, said: “Everyone is convinced that Büter Group is in good hands with NPM Capital. Their long-term vision will ensure that we can continue to do what we've excelled at for sixty years.”

Martijn Koster of NPM Capital said: “Büter Group is an innovative family-owned company that is a great addition to our portfolio. The company will remain operating independently after the acquisition and will continue to serve its customers by delivering high-end cylinder and hydraulic lifting solutions.”
