NPM portfolio company KUBO Group has appointed Remco van der Mije as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective 1 October 2026. In this role, he will focus on the company’s further international growth, strengthening its commercial organisation and expanding strategic relationships with customers and partners.
Van der Mije brings international experience in strategy, commercial growth, mergers and acquisitions, and investment management within high-tech sectors. Since 2010, he has worked across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America and Asia. As European Head of Science & Tech, he led investment activities involving infrastructure and complex research and development facilities, among other areas.
The appointment reflects KUBO’s development from a greenhouse supplier into a provider of integrated solutions for food production. The company combines greenhouse design, technology, energy and water management, cultivation expertise, data and services. KUBO focuses on international markets where there is growing demand for greater control over cultivation processes and more efficient use of resources including energy and water.
“I therefore see the role of CCO as broader than commercial growth alone,” says Van der Mije. “We want to build long-term relationships with our customers and truly understand what they need to succeed. To do so, we need to leverage the full range of expertise within KUBO and, where necessary, connect other parties such as technology partners, energy companies, investors and financiers.”
