NPM participation Het Gastenhuis has added its thirtieth location. This week, a new facility of the residential care formula for people with dementia opened in Sint-Michielsgestel. The location has 42 apartments and is located on the grounds of the former Villa Overberg, near the town centre.
The official opening took place on September 3rd, in the presence of Alderman Sam Goossens and founder Annemieke Bambach. The Alderman called the location, which is surrounded by greenery and in the heart of the village, perfect for a home that aims to be part of the community.
Het Gastenhuis offers a living environment with round-the-clock care, where residents are free to determine their own daily routines. The apartments can be furnished to their liking, and there are several living rooms with open kitchens. Fresh meals are prepared there daily, often together with residents.
Het Gastenhuis is an organization operating nationally, offering small-scale residential care facilities for people with dementia. The principle is an open, familiar living environment that feels like home as closely as possible. Later this year, Het Gastenhuis will be opening further branches in Bergeijk and Voorschoten.
