UNIT 4 AGRESSO exercises option to obtain all shares in Amedia and acquires EFDECE
Through the exercise of this option Unit 4 Agresso will become the full owner of Amedia Holding b.v. in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. Unit 4 Agresso already owned 50% of Amedia’s shares since 1 July 2006 and, as intended, now acquires the remaining 50% from co-owner NPM Capital. Furthermore Amedia will strengthen its organization through the acquisition of ÈFDÉCÉ Software.
On 1 July 2006 Amedia was acquired by Unit 4 Agresso and NPM Capital. At the time of the acquisition it was already intended that in term Amedia would become a full subsidiary of Unit 4 Agresso Benelux. Since Amedia is developing according to expectations and is attaining excellent results Unit 4 Agresso has complete confidence in exercising its option on the remaining shares.
Strategic choice Amedia is market leader in independent, integrated ICT solutions for Financial intermediaries. The company is based in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands and employs 130 people. The full acquisition of Amedia fits in with Unit 4 Agresso’s strategy aimed at attaining synergy and growth in business software & services. For Amedia the acquisition means an important step in the further growth and development of the organization.
ÈFDÉCÉ Software Furthermore Amedia Holding b.v. will strengthen its organization with ÈFDÉCÉ Software in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. ÈFDÉCÉ, with a turn-over of approximately € 3mio, is market leader in the development of mortgage software for the professional intermediary and financiers. Through the merger of these two organizations a solid, broad oriented and independent software organization comes into existence that can offer a complete ICT solution to financial service providers.
