NPM Capital and management acquire Prins Autogassystemen

NPM Capital and the management have acquired the Eindhoven-based Prins Autogassystemen B.V. from the British company EEC Holdings Ltd.

With NPM Capital as majority shareholder (80%) the company hopes to grow further as a worldwide supplier of advanced alternative fuel systems. The company is currently already exporting to 43 countries and experiencing rapid growth. At present it has annual sales of some € 30 million. Customers of Prins Autogassystemen include car manufacturers, importers, dealers and fleet owners.
 
Prins Autogassystemen is a leading developer of top-quality alternative fuel systems. With the goal of developing systems that meet the most stringent standards and minimise emissions of harmful substances. That is done with a fixed team of around 35 staff and in close cooperation with the Japanese company Keihin, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fuel systems. In addition a number of activities are outsourced to external specialists. Prins Autogassystemen focuses primarily on the development of the software, Keihin on the hardware.
 
Bart van Aerle, general manager of Prins Autogassystemen, says about the transaction: ‘With NPM Capital we are entering a new phase for the company. NPM has stated its intention to actively support our international growth strategy with its knowledge and contacts.’

Jan Willem Baud, chairman of the board of NPM Capital adds: ‘Prins Autogassystemen fits into our strategy of focusing mainly on Dutch companies who are market leaders in a specific niche market and are led by enterprising managers. An additional appeal for us in this case is that this is a business that contributes with its systems to reducing CO2 and other emissions. In that respect you could consider this a ‘green’ investment.’
