Investment policy

NPM Capital focuses on medium-sized companies located in the Benelux in general and on companies led by enterprising managers in particular.

These companies are frequently (former) family businesses or divisions of large corporations that have either achieved market leadership or have the potential to attain this position in a specific niche market and that have the ambition to expand their market share in the Netherlands and abroad. These companies often achieve the aspired growth via a buy & build strategy that is actively supported by NPM Capital.

Entrepreneurial quality is the principal and crucial criterion for selecting new investments and for deciding on subsequent investments. Providing that this criterion is met, NPM Capital in principle enters into a long-term relationship with the selected companies.

In order to enable the fulfilment of a transaction and to ensure that it is carried out effectively and discretely, NPM Capital is prepared and capable of financing 100% of a company’s enterprise value. The required bank financing can then be raised and a segment of the shares can be sold to the management.

We respect the guiding principle that the interests of the company as a whole are the main concern. It has also been our experience in practice that a company’s various stakeholders, including the management, employees and shareholders, actually share the same interests in the longer term.

New investments are entered into for a minimum of approximately € 20 million and a maximum of approximately € 500 million and are in principle made in all sectors of the economy.
