Establishment of NPM Healthcare

NPM Capital announces that it has decided to further develop its activities in healthcare via a separate company. NPM Healthcare Holding BV has been established for this purpose. It will focus primarily on developing a portfolio of stakes in first and second line healthcare.

NPM Healthcare will be led by Diederik de Groot van Embden. He is the founder of Independer.nl and has been an entrepreneur in healthcare since 2004. The other members of the management team are Aart den Hartog, the former Chief Financial Officer of Royal Schouten Group, and Joris Sibbing, who was formerly an independent corporate finance adviser.

The importance of private healthcare
NPM Capital views healthcare as a field in which professionalism and a commercial approach are combined with a crucial social role. It is furthermore convinced that private investment in healthcare will make a vital contribution to the further development of high-quality and affordable healthcare in the Netherlands in the future.

Focused on the longer term
NPM Healthcare will develop its portfolio based on its own vision of long-term developments in healthcare. A long-term focus is consequently a distinctive feature of the approach taken by NPM Healthcare, an approach that also typifies NPM Capital’s equity investment activities. NPM Healthcare will consequently concentrate on long-term value creation through high-quality support and development of the healthcare companies in which it invests.
