CARe acquires CARFLEXS and JB Carrosserie
CARe Beheer B.V. has reached agreement with LeasePlan Corporation N.V. on the acquisition of the vehicle damage repair companies CARFLEXS (nine branches) in the Netherlands and JB Carrosserie (eight branches) in Belgium. These companies achieved net sales totalling € 52 million in 2006.
In addition the proposed sale to CARe Beheer B.V. has been submitted for advice to the Works Councils concerned and the trade organisations have been informed. Following the acquisition of CARFLEXS and JB Carrosserie the network of CARe will number 68 branches, giving the chain a leading position in the damage repair market in the Benelux. The business focuses mainly on comparatively large market parties such as lease companies, insurance companies and fleet owners, and will have some 1,500 employees after the acquisition.
In the past year, CARe achieved net sales of around € 90 million. After this acquisition, net sales will reach around € 140 million. Johan van Klinken, General manager of CARe: ‘This acquisition strengthens our market position in the Netherlands and gives us virtually a nationwide network in Belgium. The acquisition reflects our aim of extending our network to provide maximum service to our customers.’ CARe Beheer is the parent company of CARe Schadeservice (47 branches in the Netherlands) and CARe Carrosserie (four branches in Belgium). NPM Capital has a majority interest and the other shares are held by Johan van Klinken, General manager, and Ton van Dalen, Finance Director.
